Do It Yourself Ideas

Cleaners - One of the issues that we would like to address here is that of toxic cleaners that are commonly used in the home. Parrots' respiratory systems are vastly different from other pets and need to be considered when choosing cleaning products. It is simply less expensive and better for your parrot and the environment if you make these cleaners yourself with non-toxic ingredients.

Remember that these cleaners are not to be used in direct contact with your parrot or on your parrot's belongings, they are replacement recipes for household cleaners. Use the normal precautions when using any of these recipes.

Toys and Stands - Also, a great way to enhance your parrot's environment with toys and play stands that are affordable is to "DO IT YOURSELF"  from easily attainable materials.

Be certain that you use only parrot-safe materials and be sure to check the list of safe trees below before starting any projects.
